Type-tested low-voltage assembly for industrial and building distribution

The Siemens 8PT-SIVACON series covers a wide range of structures and feeders for distribution in industrial and building applications. What to include in a panel quote

Choosing and quoting: LV switchgear, Siemens 8PT / SIVACON type

When the project specification asks for a "type-tested assembly" or the consultant requires a higher standard, this series is the right choice. It costs more than the MAVA-design panel but comes with design-verification evidence.

To quote, send the single-line diagram, main busbar rating, short-circuit level and the feeder list. If you do not have a diagram yet, see the electrical panel quotation checklist.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the MAVA-design panel?

This series is built on type-tested drawings, whereas the MAVA-design panel is, as the catalogue itself says, not a type-tested assembly; its advantages are price and fit with local practice.

Which tests are carried out?

Factory tests per IEC 61439 are carried out before delivery. Ask for the test report in your quote.
