Industrial & Building Electrical Panels
Distribution, MCC, capacitor, ATS and HVAC control panels for building and industrial projects; quoted from your drawings and project needs.
Main distribution board (MDB)
The main incoming supply of a building or plant, feeding the sub-boards. Rated current, short-circuit rating and busbar type are its key specifications.
Sub distribution board (SDB)
Distributes and protects supply for a floor, zone or group of loads. State the number of feeders and spare space for future expansion in your quotation request.
Motor control centre (MCC)
Centralizes starting and protection of motors such as pumps, fans and compressors, common in plant rooms and factories. Specify the starter type (direct, star-delta, soft starter or drive).
Capacitor bank (power factor correction)
Corrects power factor to reduce reactive-power penalties and load on the network. Where harmonics are present, check the need for detuning reactors or filters with your electrical consultant.
Automatic transfer switch panel (ATS)
Transfers the load to a diesel generator when grid supply fails. Essential for hospitals, data centres, cinemas and halls where an outage is a problem.
HVAC control panel
Controls and protects chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs and fan coils, and can connect to a BMS. Coordinate this panel with your HVAC designer.
What to include in a quotation request
- Panel type and quantity, with a single-line diagram if available
- Voltage and frequency, total rated current and each feeder current
- Short-circuit withstand rating (kA) and busbar type (copper or aluminium)
- IP protection degree and install location (indoor, outdoor, plant room)
- Preferred brand or class of components (breakers, contactors, relays, drives) and any project approvals
- Required standard such as IEC 61439, and any factory testing and report
- Install space dimensions, cable entry (top or bottom) and spare capacity
- BMS or SCADA connection needs, and the project delivery schedule
Frequently Asked Questions
What is needed for an electrical panel quotation?
Ideally a single-line diagram and a load list. If you do not have them, state the panel type, total current, number of feeders, install location and protection degree and a first specification can be proposed.
Which standard should a panel be built to?
Low-voltage assemblies are usually specified to IEC 61439. Confirm the exact standard and required tests in your project specification or with your electrical consultant.
Can you supply control panels for chillers and AHUs too?
Yes, HVAC control panels can be requested with the HVAC equipment or separately. State the equipment details and any BMS connection need in the quotation request.
